Abstract:
Parameters and performances of four new cooling channels are compared:
(1) FOFO, (2) DFOFO,(3) Super-FOFO and (4) Alternating solenoid cooling
channels.All the cooling channels satisfy the engineering constraint.
The four cooling channels result in final transverse emittances of
1981 mm-mrad 1669 mm-mrad, 1627 mm-mrad and 1585 mm-mrad, respectively.
An effort is given to reduce the particle losses in the FOFO channel.
Transverse cooling results are also compared with that of analytical method, which show good agreements.
