Abstract:
A Super-FOFO cooling channel with LiH absorbers
is designed for the neutrino factory.
The cooling channel with 201.25 MHz rf cavities and 2.6 m cell length
has a maximum magnetic field of 3.7 T on z-axis.
Minimum beta-function is 30 cm.
Beams with correlation and non-correlation between energy and transverse
amplitude are investigated as initial beams for the cooling channel.
Both initially correlated and non-correlated Gaussian beams with normalized
transverse emittance of 10000 mm-mrad show
normalized final transverse emittances of 2000 mm-mrad,
a cooling factor of 5, in 122 m Super-FOFO cooling channel.
