Abstract:
We present possible scenarios for capturing the long bunches of a muon source
into a string of high-frequencybunches for cooling and acceleration into a muon
storage ring for neutrinos. A matched solution using double-harmonic rf appears
appropriate to the Palmer neutrino source scenario; however, different scenarios
(i. e., with single stage rf rotation) may prefer an adiabatic solution
to minimize phase space dilution.
