Simulations of the scaling FFAG PRISM lattice, including end effects and
overlapping fields, have been performed using ICOOL. It is found that the
transverse acceptance is somewhat greater for a field assumption that
does not contain too rapid field variation between focus and de-focus
magnets. The acceptance is also increased if the field index scaling
magnet designs are replaced with linear non-scaling magnets with
approximately the same axial fields and gradients.
