A tentative scheme to establish the required correlation between the transverse
amplitude and the momentum based on controlled synchrotron motion is described.
One can indeed cool a ``round" beam in all 6D phase space, with no off-diagonal
correlations, using a sequence of correlator section(s), with no passive
absorbers, followed by ionization cooling sections. The 6D cooling merit factor
(i.e. ratio of 6D emittances, injection/extraction) is about 2, with 5 %
loss. The final transverse, normalized, emittance is about 570 pi mm
mmrad$, and the longitudinal emittance is about 2.7 mm.
