The effect of the beam-beam interaction in a 50GeV$\times$50GeV
muon collider ring is investigated by a weak-strong simulation.
Operation of the ring with the slippage factor $\eta_1 = 10^{-6}$,
such that synchrotron motion is frozen, may cause an energy spread
due to the beam-beam interaction.
For design parameters of the ring, this induced energy spread is large
and must be controlled.
The induced energy spread is related to
the ring parameters through bunch length, slippage factor,
beam size, beta function at the interaction point and emittance
and is studied by numerical simulation that includes bunch length effect.
Based on the parametric dependences of the induced energy spread,
we demonstrate that the energy spread due to the beam-beam interaction
can be compensated for by one rf cavity with low rf voltage.
The dependence of the beam-beam interaction upon the betatron tune spreads,
due to lattice non-linearity and chromaticity, is studied.
